How to Add MP3 Files from a Computer to a Treo Smartphone
Listening to music on the go is all the rage these days.
Carrying around bulky media has become a thing of the past. Media is now stored in .WAV files and .MP3 files on your computer. Moving these files to your Treo is a great way to allow you to limit the total number of electronic devices you carry around. Adding .MP3s to your Treo only takes a few simple steps.
Instructions
- STEP 1: Insert a Smart Media (SD) card into your Treo phone.
- STEP 2: Open Realone Player on your Treo.
- STEP 3: Plug your Treo into you PC, utilizing the HotSync cable or cradle.
- STEP 4: Launch Realone Player on the PC.
- STEP 5: Click on your "My Library" tab in Realone Player on your PC desktop.
- STEP 6: Double-click the "Audio" and then double click the "All Audio" buttons on your Realone Player Desktop.
- STEP 7: Click on one or multiple songs that are now displayed in your Realone Player window.
- STEP 8: At the bottom of your Realone Player, there is a link that says "Copy To." Click this link.
- STEP 9: Select "Palm handheld" within the link.
- STEP 10: Select "Add Clips" from the screen.
- STEP 11: Select the clips that you now want to select. You must use the CTRL key in order to select multiple clips.
- STEP 12: Select "Add Clips" at the bottom of the Realone Player. The clips will be added to your "Transfer" list.
- STEP 13: Click on "Close" once you have selected all of the "Clips to Transfer."
- STEP 14: At the bottom of the Realone Player for Treo, select the "Transfer Link."
Overall Tips & Warnings
- Transfer can be achieved by placing your SD card into a card reader and putting the files under the directory "Audio." This is faster and more reliable but you must have an SD card reader.
- The Treo and Realone Player can take some time to transfer files, so be patient.
